Illustration Class - Final Project - Twirly Girl

Class officially ends on Saturday and I'll probably do some more illustrations before then but, for now, I'm calling the Twirly Girl my final project.

In an effort to do something different, I did a loose sketch in a different pose of the feathery, fringy Oscar de la Renta dress. I also wanted to make it pink for more drama. I really wanted to emphasize the fringe and fun of the dress so I made the girl twirl and glitter. While I'm usually on the fence about adding a black outline, for this illustration I purposely added the sketchy outline to emphasize movement. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. The bottom right is a detail shot of the glitter.
