In the Sketchbook...

I haven't done much sketching or painting in over a week. I think my brain (as well as my wrist) needed a break. This girl was inspired by the Hippie Chic exhibit at the Museum of Fine Art Boston (pictured in my last post). The proportions aren't exactly right but I'm ok with that. It's a sketch and meant to be put down quickly. I tried to keep it loose, too. I didn't outline (much) and kept all my pencil marks. I think the purpose of a sketchbook, aside from the importance of practice, is that it's also a safe place to experiment. What do you think?
