I am so excited that the hubby and I are getting away for a few days. We decided to go to Boston. I had never been and he had been only once. It's been quite the eventful trip so far. We drove from Michigan to Niagara Falls first to break up the trip. After almost two hours of waiting on a bridge, we got into Canada. I started to get a cold and didn't sleep well so we got up at 6:30 am and walked down to the falls. Ok, the falls were pretty spectacular.
After the falls, the plan was to head to Boston and stop at the Normal Rockwell museum on the way. Well, plans changed when this happened:
Ugh. It was a trying day. But we made it to Boston, finally, and even after the crazy, hotel neighbors woke us with their arguing in the middle of the night, we had a great first day downtown!
Today, we walked the freedom trail which included Trinity Church, Faneuil Hall, and the Old State House, went to the Public Gardens and Boston Common, Copley Square and Quincy Market and took a Duck tour. I think we walked at least eight miles. Oh, my aching feet! :) Can't wait for more fun tomorrow!
